Day of the Dead, Night of the Souls
Join us for a parade and musical tribute to those who have left us commemorating their visit in the Mexican tradition
A community theatre event, presented to neighborhood audiences;
a fusion of cultures, involving local artists from diverse backgrounds presenting songs and poetry using puppets and masks;
Included will be traditional skeletons, an altar, as well as Mexican folk songs and costumes.
Parade followed by a theatrical presentation in a circle.
The event will take place November 1, 2024 in Trois-Rivières, Québec Canada
Parade starts at 7 pm, at the end of the Rue de la Liberté
and will turn left on rue de la Nacelle, right onto Rue de la Sentinelle,
and then left on Rue de la Concorde
(total from start to finish, the parade will be a 500 meter walk approximately)
Once we get to the Parc de la Concorde,
we will set up a small altar and stage where we will gather in a circle.
we will proceed with offerings to the altar
and continue with short performances, poetry and singing.
The participants and public are invited to bring an offering for the altar.
